(Washington, D.C.) – Milne, Wiener, & Shofe Global Strategies (MWS Global), a leading Washington, D.C.-based government affairs firm known for its work across national security, health, tax, labor, and tribal policy, today announced the appointment of Chase Adams as Senior Vice President.

Adams, a long-time government relations professional for the livestock industry, brings more than a dozen years of agriculture advocacy expertise to MWS Global, having developed and implemented multiple policy efforts in support of the pork, sheep, and cattle industries. Adams comes to MWS Global from the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC), where he most recently served as Assistant Vice President of Government Affairs. He has also held senior roles for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and the American Sheep Industry Association. NPPC has retained the services of Adams in his new role at MWS Global to continue providing advocacy services in areas of agriculture policy, tariffs, trade, and other matters.

In addition to Adams’ distinguished career in Washington as a voice for leading livestock industry associations, he is a native of Sturgis, South Dakota, and began his career in agriculture as a broadcaster and farm director for the radio station KBHB in Sturgis. He also practiced law for several years and remains a member of the bar. Adams previously served on the board of directors for the Western Resources Legal Center — a non-profit educational organization that provides law students with quality instruction to develop their legal skills in natural resources and environmental laws — and formerly served on the USDA Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee for Animals and Animal Products. He also is an alumnus of the South Dakota Agricultural and Rural Leadership program. Adams holds an undergraduate degree from Black Hills State University and a law degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law.
